Alternative Energy Technologies The alternative energy technologies programme develops, promotes and exchanges energy technologies that will improve the live of the poor. This includes teechnologies and social services related to improved cookstove for cooking and heating, kitchen improvement, indoor air pollution and enterprise development as well as climate change adaptation and disaster mitigation, taking into consideration the gender dimension in development.
Collaborative Research Group on Gender and Energy (CRGGE) Approtech Asia's Executive Director Ms. Feri G. Lumampao is a member of the Collaborative research Group on Gender and energy (CRGGE). Other members are international scientist and researchers engaged in energy, gender and related programs for two decades or more in Africa, Asia and europe. ENERGIA in the Philippines Approtech Asia is the National Focal Point (NFP) of ENERGIA in the Philippines. ENERGIA is an international network on gender and sustainable energy which links individuals and groups concerned with gender and energy in developing countires. ENERGIA Advisory Group Approtech Asia Executive Director Ms. Feri G. Lumampao is elected to the Advisory Group 2006 of ENERGIA- The International Network on Gender and Sustainable Energy. The Improved Cookstove Program of the Philippines (ICS-P) facilitates the transfer of technology on solar dryers for fish drying, herbals, fruits, etc. and rice-hull fruit dehydrators.
