Information and Communications Technology for Development

      The Information and Communications Technology for Development (ICT4D) programme focuses on the development enhancement and use of electronic communications infrastructure and facilities among APPROTECH ASIA member and partner-orrganizations. This program seeks to improve not only the physical communication infrastructure, but also the content and availability of the information being exchanged and shared in this facility. It provides assistance to organizations and communities in establishing their IT and communications facilities, conducting distance education and training courses, creating databases and networking with other organizations practicing appropriate information technology in agriculture, enterprise and business, and health, among others.

      The TECHNOLINK project or Technology Linkage through Technology sharing and Cooperation among Developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America facilitates the exchange of information technology and resources as well as links scientists, technologist, investor-entrepreneurs, researchers, micro-small-medium entrepreneurs, development workers, communities and training institutions through the use of electronic communications, publications, training courses, distance education, e-commerce and study visits.
